Computing power to answer NASA's complex science and engineering questions
The High-End Computing Capability (HECC) Portfolio provides world-class high-end computing, storage, and associated services to enable NASA-sponsored scientists and engineers supporting NASA programs to broadly and productively employ large-scale modeling, simulation, and analysis to achieve successful mission outcomes.
Plan and provision high-end computing systems and services to support NASA's mission needs. Operate and manage these HECC resources for the benefit of agency users, customers, and stakeholders.
NASA’s HECC resources are relied on as an essential and pervasive partner by the breadth of agency science, engineering, and technology activities, enabling rapid advances in insight and dramatically enhancing mission achievements.
HECC conducts work in five major technical areas:
At the NASA Advanced Supercomputing facility, the primary supercomputing center for the agency, HECC provides users with 24x7 support for navigating our integrated computing environment that includes both the computational resources and associated services to easily and efficiently use the systems. HECC can also provide additional customized services and other in-depth services requiring ongoing support.
HECC is part of the High-End Computing Program, which is managed by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate and receives funding from all mission directorates to serve as an agency-wide resource.
