Eligibility for Getting Computing Time

If you are a NASA-sponsored scientist or engineer, computing time is available to you through the High End Computing Capability (HECC) Project. HECC has a two-part process for obtaining time on its systems: Requesting an Allocation (Phase I) and Getting an Account (Phase II). Obtaining this access also opens access to our wide variety of services to help you succeed.

Requirements

Before you request an allocation of time on our systems, you must meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements to be considered for NASA-sponsored work:

Process Overview

To become a NASA HECC user, you must complete a request for computing time. Read this section first to get a good understanding of the general request and approval processes for award of computer hours.

Accounts Process Overview
Requesting an Allocation (Phase I)
Getting an Account (Phase II)
