Special Presentation

Music from Space

A surprise guest appearance by Domenico Vicinanza, a product manager with GEANT/DANTE and classically trained musician, introduced NASA's SC12 booth visitors to the process of creating "music from interstellar space."

During his presentation, Music from Space: Voyager Space Craft Data Sonification, Vicinanza demonstrated how his sonification algorithm converts data from NASA's Voyager I spacecraft into haunting melodies.
